To the sun. Stand. Feel your wrists
Pulsing with worship.

FIRE: info in English

FIRE, a new cycle of poems by the Scottish poet and biographer Robert Crawford, is at last complete! It comprises a large artist’s book in the form of a leporello (ten numbered copies) and a letterpress edition which is also bilingual (edition of 120). In January 2017 it appeared in its finished form, and was presented first in the Lyrik Kabinett in Munich and then in Hamburg, both in the University Library and in the place of its inception, the Museum of Work.

The poems evoke the ancient Zoroastrian cult of Fire and the sun, and recall the creative force of this too often fearsome element.

The bilingual version of the book has already found enthusiastic takers. So indeed has the leporello, which is being kept to a very small edition, not least because of the time it takes to print. Please let me know if you would like to order one. I would of course be delighted to send it to you.
